Contributing to the Kingdom

At the very heart of the vision for the Life on Sunday newspaper lies a determination to be 'Kingdom producers' who contribute to the growth of God's Kingdom on earth.
We feel that for too long, too many Christian ministries have consistently consumed Christian resources without building a foundation to preserve their long-term future. The future is based upon how long and how much God’s faithful people will give.

At The Life Association our vision is to distribute the operating profits from Life on Sunday to Christian ministries. The sole support we will ask from people is that if Life on Sunday is a good enough newspaper they pay 80 pence for it each week. With the earnings from cover price and advertising, Life on Sunday will begin generating profits in its third year of business and by Year 5 the business plan projects annual profits in excess of £5 million. All profits not required for business growth and development will be sown back into the Kingdom to bless the ministries carrying out the Lord’s work on this earth.

One of the key tasks for The Life Association membership will be the selection of ministries that will be supported. The executive leadership will nominate ten core ministries whilst the Association membership will select a further 90 ministries for support. Each ministry will receive a standard donation based on an equal share of 60% of the allocated profits. Then the membership will vote on additional giving based on individual ministry needs and mission.

From the seeds sown through The Life Association’s faithfulness to God’s call, we believe that new ministries will be formed, new works will revitalise evangelism in this nation and Christian work will find a new vitality and purpose in engaging the world head-on.

The success of The Life Association will be bound up in the success of our journalistic ministry. If we continue to produce a great newspaper under the Lord’s guidance then our sales will go up, our witness to the world will continue to grow, our profits will increase and we will sow greater and greater blessings into the Kingdom. If we fail in our mission then sales will fall and our root will wither. Our eyes are fixed on Jesus and by his grace we will bring redemptive journalism and publishing to the United Kingdom.
